Widower Ludwig Schuster, a tailor (Schneider), is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census in Household No. 60.

It is not known in which colony he settled.

The 1767 census records that Ludwig Schuster came from the German village of Westerburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Schuster family among the Volga German colonies.
