Schwien
Asmus Schwien, a farmer, immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) and settled in the colony of Friderichsholm.
He joined the migration to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Holstein on 26 May 1765. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24.
Descendants of the Schwien family relocated to the colony of Kratzke.
Johann Jakob Schwien from Kratzke and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Ährenfeld.
The 1767 census records that Asmus Schwien came from the German village of Memmelsdorf in the Holstein region.
