Seibert (Katharinenstadt)
A researcher reports on the wolgadeutsche.net blog that Kaspar Seibert was born 1 April 1746 in Dinkelsbühl (Schwaben). His parents are recorded there as Johann Kaspar Seibert (a baker & distiller; born 17 January 1717; died 13 February 1761) & Anna Christina Hochleiter from Michelbach (whose father owned a tavern).
Kaspar Seibert, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 27 August 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5 along with his new wife Anna Elisabeth.
In 1786, Kaspar Siebert and his family moved from Katharinenstadt to the Caucasus. His sons returned and settled in Biberstein.
The 1767 census records that Kaspar Seibert came from the German village of Dunkelspühl in the region of Schwaben (Swabia) and his wife came from the German village of Vollingen in the Braunschweig region.
