Johann Georg Sommer, a farmer, and his wife Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Laub in Household No. 51. They had settled there on 15 September 1767.
Georg Sommer and his descendants are recorded on the 1798 census of Laub in Households No. Lb40 & Lb59.
The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Sommer came from the German village of Freiwalde in the region of Preußisch-Schlesien (Prussian Silecia).
