Stürtz (Laub)
Johann Martin Stürtz, a baker (Bäker), his wife Elisabeth, and children (Anna Elisabeth, age 10; Konrad, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Die Neue Freiheit von Bremen under the command of Skipper Steingrawer.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 12 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27.
The 1767 census records that Johann Martin Stürtz came from the German village of Rosenfeld in the Württemberg region.
