Stadelman(n) (Wittmann)*

Peter Stadelmann and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.

Peter Stadelmann, his wife Margaretha, and newborn son Joh. Wolfgang are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 86 with a note that relocated to the Volga German colony of Wittmann in 1768.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Stadelmann was a stonemason while the 1767 census records that he was a farmer.

Both documents record that Peter Stadelmann came from the German region of Bamberg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
