Abram Stahlmann, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Appolonia, age 21; Kathairna, age 18; Johannes, age 10¼; Maria, age 5; Johann Peter, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Neptunus (Neptune) under the command of Skipper Johann Graap. Arriving with them were Johann [Friedrich] Knobloch and his wife Anna [Elisabeth née Stahlmann], presumed to be a daughter of Abraham Stahlmann.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Abraham Stahlmann came from the German region of Pfalz.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Stahlmann family among the Volga German colonies.
