Heinrich Stein, a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and son David (age 15) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard a ship named Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.
Son David Stein (age 14) is recorded on the Norka on the 1767 census in Household No. 10 in the household of Kaspar Weigandt. They had arrived in Norka on 15 August 1767. A note on the 1767 census records that David Stein relocated to the colony of Schilling in 1768.
David's son, Johann Heinrich Stein, is recorded on the 1798 census of Schilling in Household No. Sg080.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that David Stein came from the German region of Isenburg.
