Johann Andreas Stolz, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
Andreas Stolz is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Jost on 19 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 62 along with his new wife Anna Sophia.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Andreas Stolz was a farmer from the German region of Dessau. The 1767 census records that he was a soldier (Soldat) from the German region of Dessau.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Stolz family among the Volga German colonies.
