Stor(c)k (Rothammel)
Matthias Stork, son of Christian & Anna Maria Stork, was born 26 February 1740, and baptized 27 February 1740, in Lampertheim (near Worms). On 25 January 1766 Matthias Stork married Margaretha (surname unclear) in Lampertheim.
They were recruited by Precourt to immigrate to Russia, arriving from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Grapp.
Matthias Storch [sic], his wife Anna, daughter Catharina (age ¾), and mother Catharina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that the mother Catharina died en route.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Rothammel on 21 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 19 along with daughter Maria Katharina (age 2).
In 1794, Konrad Storck moved from Rothammel to Brabander.
The 1767 census records that Matthias Storck came from the German village of Lampertheim in the Worms region.
