Strep*
Christoph Strep, a farmer, his wife Anna Dorothea, and their son Johann Michael immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein). They arrived in the city of Schleswig on 4 July 1761. They were dismissed from the Danish colonies on 6 July 1763, and the family joined the migration to Russia.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 15 April 1765 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Households No. 2 & 36.
The widow and and two daughters of Michael Streb are recorded on the 1798 census of Dobrinka in Household No. Db12.
The Eichhorns record that Christoph Strep came from the German region of Brandenburg. The 1767 census records that Christoph Strep came from the German village of Lawinoj [?} in Württemberg while it records that Johann Michael Strep came from the German village of Ferdinanz in the German region of Pommern (Pomerania).
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
