Tege (Pfeifer)*
Ulrich Tege, his wife Gertruda, and children (Peter, age 17; Elisabeth, age 14; Anna Maria, age 8; Johann, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.
Ulrich Theke [sic], his wife Gerdrutha, and children (Peter, age 18; Anna Elisabeth, age 16; Anna Maria, age 9; Johannes, age 7) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that son Johannes died en route.
Ulrich Tege, his wife Gertrude, and children (Peter, age 18; Elisabeth, age 14) are recorded on the 1767 census of Pfeifer in Household No. 70. They had settled there on 20 August 1767.
Peter Tege from Pfeifer and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km024.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Ulrich Tege was a stocking maker from the German region of Mainz while the 1767 census records that he was a farmer from the German village of Steinheim in the district of Mainz.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
