Samuel Trey, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 16¼; Johann, age 9; Helena, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 May 1766 aboard a galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of the Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
Samuel Trey, a tailor (Schneider), his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Anna Dorothea, age 17; Johann Samuel, age 11; Helena Katharina, age 9) are recorded on the 1767 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 12. They had arrived in Stahl am Tarlyk on 13 August 1767.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Samuel Trey came from the German region of Danzig.
