Johann Trube, a single tailor, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Kronverk under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Ilyin.
Johann Trube is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johann [Trube, a single tailor (Schneider), is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 130 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Biberstein in 1768.
The 1798 census of Zürich records Nikolaus Trube in Household No. Zr46.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Trube came from the German region of Hessen.
