Johann [Nikolaus] Trube, a single tailor (Schneider), is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 130 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Biberstein in 1768.

The 1798 census of Zürich records Nikolaus Trube in Household No. Zr46.

The 1767 census records that Johann Trube came from the German region of Hessen.
