Nikolaus Vogler and his wife Christina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard an ship named Prinz Carl (Prince Carl) under the command of Skipper Christopher Losser.
Nicolaus Vogler and his wife Christina are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Nikolaus Vogeler [sic], a mason (Maurer), and his wife Christina are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 48.
It is not known in which colony they settled.
The Oranienbaum passenger list does not record from where Nikolaus Vogler came. The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Vogeler [sic] came from the German region of Bayreuth.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Vogler family among the Volga German colonies.
