Andreas Vogt, a farmer, his wife Maria, and daughter Elsa (age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Severnyi Orel (Northern Eagle) under the command of Lieutenant Pyotr Malenkov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Vogt came from the German region of Mecklenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Vogt family among the Volga German colonies.
