Konrad Volz, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 14.

In 1798, Johann Georg Volz moved from Walter to Hussenbach.

Christina Volz, the widow of Konrad Volz, and their sons (Johann Heinrich, age 23; Johannes, age 20) are recorded on the 1798 census of Walter in Household No. Wt075 along with a note that son Johann Heinrich is working in Hussenbach and son Johannes is working in Huck.

[Johann] Heinrich Volz is recorded on the 1811 census of Walter in Household No. 75.

Johannes Volz and his sons (Johannes & Georg) are recorded on the 1811 census of Walter in Household No. 75 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Biberstein [year not recorded].

Johannes Volz and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Biberstein in Household No. 2.

Johannes Volz, son of Johannes Volz, and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Biberstein in Household No. 103.

Johann Heinrich Volz, son of Johannes Volz, and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Biberstein in Household No. 108.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Volz came from the German village of Ladenbach [Laudenbach?] near Lobbach.
