Vorbach (Kutter)
Friedrich Vorbach, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Strelna under the command of Lieutenant Sornev.
He married widow Maria Katharina Schiebelhut. They settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 76 along with her children (Johannes, age 19; Johann Kaspar, age 16; and Johann Adam, age 11) whose surname of Schiebelhut is not recorded there.
In 1795, widower Friedrich Vorbach moved from Kutter to Beideck.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Friedrich Vorbach came from the German region of Hanau.
