Christian [sic] Wagner, a single miller, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Börse von Lübeck under the command of Skipper Martin Friedrich Markau.
This is believed to be the same man as Christoph Wagner who settled in Jost.
Christoph Wagner, a single man, is recorded on the 1767 census of Jost in Household No. 82 along with a note that he was no longer there.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christian Wagner came from the German region of Ballenstedt. The 1767 census does not record from where Christoph Wagner came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Wagner family among the Volga German colonies.
