Walter (Grimm)
Johann Peter Walter and his wife Anna Margaretha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 60.
They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 136.
Widower Johann Philipp Walter from Grimm and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Oberdorf in Household No. 63.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Peter Walter was a farmer while the 1767 census records that Peter Walter was a craftsman (Handwerker).
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Peter Walter came from the German region of Darmstadt.
