Gottfried [Walter] (age 16) and his sister Anna Rosina [Walter] (age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen along with their step-father Johann Christian Richter.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Tarlyk on 13 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24.
The Oranienbaum passenger list does not record from where the Walter children came.
