Konrad Wehrwein, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.
Conrad Wehrwein, his wife Charlotta, and children (Margreta, age 18; Johan Jost, age 13; Casper, age 10¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They arrived in the Volga German colony of Nieder-Monjou on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the appendix to the 1767 census in Household No. 26 along with a note that they resettled to the colony of Näb in 1768.
In 1783, Kaspar Wehrwein and his family moved from Näb to Meinhard.
The 1767 census records that Konrad Wehrwein came from the German village of Krailshausen.
