Discussion & Documentation

Elisabeth Weingart, a single woman, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder along with Johann Peter Weingart. The relationship between Elisabeth and Johann Peter, if any, is not recorded.

Widow [sic] Elisabeth Weingart and Johann Peter Weingart are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both died en route.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Weingart family among the Volga German colonies.
