Weis(s) (Orlovskaya-3)
Johann[es] Weiss, a farmer, his wife Anna, and sons (Johann, age 13; Konrad, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
Johannes Weiss, his wife Anna Eis., and sons (Johannes, age 13; Conradt, age 5) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Orlovskaya on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34.
In 1782, Konrad Weiss moved from Orlovskaya to Näb.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Weiss came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Immenrode.
