Widike
Christian Widike, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Beauregard on 27 August 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 8.
In 1792, Christian Widike and his family moved from Beauregard to the Caucasus. He returned. Following his death, his widow married Jakob Breininger in Beauregard and moved there with son Friedrich where they are recorded on the 1798 census in Household No. Bo27. Son Jakob moved to Philippsfeld.
The 1798 census of Beauregard records that Friedrich Widike is working in Orlovskaya.
Various document translations have spelled this surname as Wittig, Windecke, Wideke.
The 1767 census records that Christian Widike came from the German region of Rosslau.
