Johannes Winter (age 17) is recorded on the 1775 census of the Volga German colony of Schilling in Household No. 80 along with stepfather, Marcel Würtz.

He is believed to be the deceased Heinrich Winter who is noted on the 1798 census of Schilling in Household No. Sg059.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Winter family among the Volga German colonies.
