Discussion & Documentation
Ludwig Witker (age 12) and his sister Sophia (age 7) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 26 along with his stepfather Gottlieb Schulz.
They are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 110.
The 1767 census records that the Schulz family came from the German region of Darmstadt. Perhaps the Witker children also came from there.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
