Discussion & Documentation

Johann Wolf, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Elisabeth Barbara settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 15 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10.

The 1767 census records that Johann Wolf came from the German village of Barg in the Brandenburg region and his wife Elisabeth Barbara came from the German region of Zweibrücken.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this Wolf family among the Volga German colonies.
