Peter Wulf and his family immigrated first in 1762 to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) and joined the migration to Russia in 1766.
Peter Wulf, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Georg, age 12; Margaretha, age 1¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 May 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Katharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Rehder.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 12 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 22.
Peter Klausen Wolf and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dinkel in Household No. Dn20.
Andreas Jakob Wulf, son of Peter Klausen Wolf, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Bangert in Household No. 19.
Eichhorn records that Peter Wulf came from Süderstapel, today a part of the collective community of Stapelholm, in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg in the German State of Schleswig-Holstein. The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Wulf came from the German region of Holstein.
