Zöllner*

Gottfried Zöllner arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 21 September 1766.

Gottfried Zölner [sic] is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

This may be the same Gottfried Zöllner who is recorded in Orlovskaya as follows:

Gottfried Zöllner (age 19) and his sister Wilhelmina (age 15) are recorded on the 1767 census of Orlovskaya in Household No. 11 along with their stepfather Heinrich Goldorf. They had settled there on 3 August 1767.

In 1779, Gottfried Zöllner moved from Orlovskaya to Basel.

Gottfried Zöllner and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Basel in Household No. Bs06.

The death of Gottfried Zöllner in 1826 is recorded on the 1834 census of Basel in Household No. 7.

The 1767 census does not record from where the Zöllner siblings came.

There are no known surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
