Adam Zahn & Carolina Schreyer were married on 28 May 1765 in Roßlau.

Adam Zahn, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Graf on 10 June 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 18 along with his wife Anna Barbara.

In 1782, Anton Zahn moved from Graf to Astrakhan.

The 1767 census records that Adam Zahn came from the German village of Damice in Austria while his wife came from the German village of Linz.
