Michael Zitzer, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Barbara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English frigate named Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Johannes Zitzer (age 27), a farmer, his wife Barbara (age 22), and son Adam Christian (age ¾) are recorded on the 1767 census of Schulz in Household No. 27. They had settled there on 15 June 1767.
He is recorded on the 1798 census of Schulz in Household No. Sz05. Christian Zitzer and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Schulz in Household No. Sz17.
In 1795, Johannes Zitzer (son of the previous Johannes Zitzer) moved from Schulz to Schwed.
Johann Zitzer from Schulz and his family are recorded on the1798 census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No. Sk13.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johannes Zitzer came from the German village of Laubach.
