Ludwig Brotzmann, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Anna, age 18; Maria, age 15; Johann, age 5) and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.
Johann Ludwig Brotzmann, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Anna Maria, age 17¼, Johann Heinrich, age 5¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both parents died en route.
