Rau, Enrique

Father Enrique Rau, son of Juan Rau & Agueda Zwenger, was born 29 September 1899 in San José (Colonia Dos) near Coronel Suarez. Some sources site that he was born in San Miguel Arcángel, but it was not founded until 1903 - and his family moved there following the death of his father and remarriage of his mother to Juan Kees.

He studied to become a priest and was ordained in 1922. He served a number of Catholic parishes until 1951.

Kleweno

Heinrich Kleweno and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp18.

Descendants of the Kleweno family are recorded on the 1834 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Households No. 189, 217, 235, & 258.

Johannes Klewenau and Georg Philipp Klewenau from Yagodnaya Polyana and their families are recorded on the 1857 census of Neu-Yagodnaya-Polyana.

Stappar

Johann Georg Stappar, a farmer, and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana on 16 September 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 65.

The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Stappar came from the German region of Hannover.

Seifeld*

Widower Johann Seifeld, a farmer, and his children (Anna Maria, age 20; Katharina, age 18; Valentin, age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 28. They had settled there on 16 September 1767.

The 1767 census records that Johann Seifeld came from the German village of Schotten.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Schreiner (Yagodnaya Polyana)

Adam Schreiner, a miller, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the galliot Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson. He was travelling with Nikolaus Daubert and his wife Katharina Elisabeth, identified on later documents as his uncle and aunt.

Nicolaus Daubert, his wife Catharina Elisabeth, and [nephew] Johann Adam [Schreiner] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Schleibor*

Johann Adam Schleibor, a farmer, and his wife Anna Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana on 16 September 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 23 along with his stepchildren (Anna Maria Kroll, age 18; Johann Jakob Kroll, age 12; Johann Adam Kroll, age 10).

The 1767 census records that Johann Adam Schleibor came from the German village of Schwalmtal.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Riklen*

Anna Margaretha Riklen [perhaps Rikl] (age 3) is recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 72 along with her stepfather Johann Heinrich Götz.

They had arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766.

They are recorded on a listing of colonists from the German village of Eichelsdorf.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
