Hoppe (Unknown)*

Johann Hoppe, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.

Johann Hop [sic], his wife Anna Elisabeth, and [step?-]son Johannes (age 11) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that he died in route.

It is not known in which colony this Hoppe family settled.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Hoppe came from the German region of Isenburg.

Seim (Unknown-2)*

Johann Seim, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 7¼; Andreas, age 5; Maria, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.

Johannes Seim, his wife Anna Elisabeth, and children (Anna Catrina, age 8; Andreas, age 5; Nicolas, born in route) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that son Andreas died in route.

It is not known in which colony this Seim family settled.

Gross (Pobochnaya)*

Vincent Gross was born about 1787 in the village of Künzig.

He served as a soldier in the 3rd Light Cavalry Regiment of Napoleon's Army. He fought against the Russians and was captured.

Milovidov records that as of 1814 Vincent Gross had a father, mother, two brothers, and a sister still living in the village of Künzig.

Pierre*

Jean Pierre was born about 1791 in the French town of Curtin.

He served as a soldier in the 13th Light Infantry (Jäger) Regiment of Napoleon's Army. He fought against the Russians and was captured.

Milovidov records that as of 1814 his father, four brothers, and a sister were still living in Curtin.

Sotro*

Antonio Sotro was born about 1786 in the French town of Pompertuzat.

He served as a soldier in the 37th Infantry Regiment of Napoleon's Army. He fought against the Russians and was captured.

Milovidov records that as of 1814 Antonio Sotro had no living family members.

He is recorded among the captured Napoleonic soldiers who were settled among the Volga German colonies, but it is not known in which colony he was settled.

Milovidov records that Antonio Sotro came from the town of Pompertuzat in France.
