Biography
Father Georg Dechand (some sources spell the surname Dechant) studied theology at the Catholic Theological Seminary in Saratov. He was ordained 11 June 1867.
He served in the following Roman Catholic parishes in the Volga region: Marienberg (1870-1873), Semenovka (1873-1887), Hildmann (1895-1897), Rothammel (1897-1906).
