History
Perm is located along the Kama River near the Ural Mountains. Volga German families relocated to the city of Perm following the 1941 Deportation.
From 1940-1957, the town was called Molotov.
Perm-36, an infamous Soviet era Gulag, is located approximately 100 kilometers northeast of Perm.
