Friedrich Kehm, his wife Elisabeth, and their children (Karolina, age 9; Maria Katharina, age 4½; Tobias Kaspar, age 2½) are recorded on an appendix to the 1775 census of the Volga German colony of Schilling in Household No. 3. Notes accompanying the 1775 census record that Kehm is an apprentice merchant and bookkeeper.
