He, his wife Elisabeth, and their children (Anna Maria, age 5½; Johannes, age 3) are recorded recorded on a supplement to the 1775 census of Schilling in Household No. 3.
Johannes Kaufmann (age 64) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Schilling in Household No. Sg022.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Kaufmann came from the German region of Würzburg.
