The births of the following children of Peter & Julianna Erbes are recorded in the parish register of Mittel-Seeman: (1) Johann Heinrich, born 22 October 1744; (2) Elisabeth, born 22 August 1752; and (3) Juliana, born 7 July 1761.
Peter Erbes, a farmer, his wife Julianna, and children (Johann [Heinrich] & his wife Anna; Kaspar, age 18; Elisabeth, age 15¼; Johann Heinrich, age 8; Julianna, age 5¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a galliot named Der Junge Mattias (The Young Mattias) under the command of Skipper David Wohlert.
The parents, Kaspar, and the younger Johann Heinrich died after arrival in Russia. The surviving children settled in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 18 June 1767. [Johann] Heinrich Erbes, a farmer, his wife Anan Margaretha, their son Johann Heinrich (age ½), and his sisters (Elisabeth, age 16; Julianna, age 7) are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 77.
Johann Georg Erbes, son of Johann Michael Erbes, and his family moved from Dönhof to Dobrinka in 1834 and are recorded on the 1834 census of Dobrinka in Household No. 130.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that the Erbes family came from the German region of Stolberg.
