Nikolaus Deibert, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Schilling. Widow Susanna and son Johannes are recorded on the 1775 census of Schilling in Household No. 61.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Nikolaus Deibert came from the German region of Gelnhausen.
