Hans Wollendorf, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Enders on 27 March 1766. Hans Wollendorf, his second wife Katharina Maria, his children by his 1st wife (Christina, age 21; Elias Andreas, age 17), and his children with Katharina Maria (Johann Jakob, age 2; Christina, age 8 weeks old) are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27.

The 1767 census records that Hans Wollendorf came from the German village of Klein in the Holstein region.

In North America, descendants of this family also use the spelling of Vollendorf.
