Widow Anna Halle, a farmer's wife, and her sons (Heinrich, age 20; Nikolaus, age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Grapp.
Heinrich Haag [sic], a single farmer, and his brother Philipp settled in the Volga German colony of Rothammel on 21 August 1767. These two brothers are believed to be the children of the above referenced Anna Halle. The brothers are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.
Heinrich is recorded on the 1798 census of the neighboring colony of Sewald in Household No. Sd18.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Anna Halle came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that Heinrich Haag [sic] came from the German colony of Bürstadt in the region of Kurmainz.
