Philipp Moritz Trott, a day laborer (Tagelöhner), arriving in Flensburg on 9 June 1762.
The parish register of Översee [Denmark] records on 16 June 1762 the marriage of Philipp Moritz Traut [sic] to Maria Elisabeth Gestras, daughter of Georg Gestras.
On 30 September 1763, they are recorded in the Danish colony of Neubörm with a son George Heinrich (age ½) .
They deserted the Danish colonies on 23 June 1764 and joined the migration to Russia.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm and are recorded there on the 1775 census in Household No. 19.
Philipp Drott from Grimm and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Wiesenmüller.
The Eichhorns record that Philipp Moritz Trott came from the German village of "Niederramstadt, Amt Lichtenberg, Landgrafschaft Hessen-Darmstadt."
