Jakob Hildebrandt, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
Jacob Hildebrandt is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Bettinger on 3 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 19 along with his new wife Maria Lehmann.
In 1790, widower Jakob Hildebrandt moved from Fischer to Schilling.
The Orainenbaum passenger list records that Jakob Hildebrandt was a farmer from the German region of Mecklenburg. The 1767 census records that he was a cobbler (Schuhmacher) from the German village of Meilberg [Mühlberg?].
