Johann Zubeck [sic], a single mason (Maurer), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.
Johannes Zubucks [sic] is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Widower Johann Zubicks, a farmer, is recorded on the 1767 census of Laub in Household No. Lb35 along with a note that his wife had died there on 27 September 1767. They had arrived in Laub on 12 July 1767.
Johannes Zubicks and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Laub in Household No. Lb35.
Johannes Zubicks, son of Johannes Zubicks, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Laub in Household No. 89 along with a note (in Household No. 106) that he died there in 1824.
Christoph Zubicks, son of Johannes Zubicks, and his family are recorded on the 1850 census of Laub in Household No. 162 along with a note that he died there in 1847.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Zubeck [sic] came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Johann[es] Zubicks came from the German village of Waldgirmes in the Darmstadt region.
