In 1794, Johann Kimmel and his family moved from Luzern to Rohleder.

Johann Kimmel from Luzern and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Rohleder in Household No. Rl33 along with a note that he is working as a shepherd in the colony of Mariental.

The death of Johannes Kimmel in 1830 is recorded on the 1834 census of Rohleder in Household No. 76.

Peter Kimmel, son of Johannes Kimmel, and his family are recorded on the 1850 census of Rohleder in Household No. 99.

Peter Kimmel and his wife are recorded on the 1857 census of Rohleder in Household No. 121.

There are no known urviving male lines of this Kimmel family among the Volga German colonies.
