Christian Becker, a farmer, his wife Maria, and daughters (Anna, age 21; Susanna, age 16) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.
Christian Bäcker, a farmer, his wife Anna Katharina, and daughter Maria Susanna (age 14) settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 424.
With the dissolution of the Grafschaft Diez in 1564, Wirges became part of Kurtrier. By 1803 it belonged to the Duchy of Nassau. In 1866, this area became part of the Kingdom of Prussia, and in 1868 the new province of Hesse-Nassau.

Johannes Bäcker, a farmer, and his wife, Maria Elisabeth, settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 68.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann[es] Becker came from the German region of Trier. The 1767 census records that Johannes Bäcker came from the German village of Niedererbach in Kurtrier.
With the dissolution of the Grafschaft Diez in 1564, Niedererbach became part of Kurtrier. By 1803, Niedererbach, as well as the entire right bank of the rest of the Electorate of Trier, belonged to the Duchy of Nassau. In 1866, this area became part of the Kingdom of Prussia, and in 1868 the new province of Hesse-Nassau. Today, Niedererbach is in the Unterwesterwald community.
Franz Doulzon, a mason (maurer) from France, was living in Bommersheim as early as 1739. He married Anna Christina Jörges, daughter of Johannes Georg Jörges & Anna Margaretha Meister. Anna Christina Jörges had been baptized 11 March 1718 in Bommersheim.
Jakob Bäcker, a farmer, and his wife, Katharina, settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 12 May 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6.
The 1767 census records that Jakob Bäcker came from the German village of Bommersheim in the Kurmainz.
There are no know surviving male lines of this Bäcker family among the Volga German colonies.
Paul Busch and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Siebe Heinrichson.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dehler on 26 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 22.
Paulus Busch and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dehler in Household No. Dl36.
Paulus Busch and his son Johann Peter are recorded on the 1811 census of Dehler in Household No. 34 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Preuss in 1800.
Michael Schmidt, a farmer, and his wife, Barbara, settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 12 May 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 38.
The 1767 census records that Michael Schmidt came from the German village of Gross-Winterbach? in the Kurpfalz.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schmidt family among the Volga German colonies.
There are two Schmidt families that settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 12 May 1767 who are probably related to each other.
(1) Johannes Schmidt (age 30), a farmer, and his wife are recorded on the 1767 census of Keller in Household No. 46.
(2) Lorenz Schmidt (age 25), also a farmer, and his wife are recorded on the 1767 census of Keller in Household No. 47.
In 1929, Bommersheim was administratively incorporated into the village of Oberursel (Taunus).
