Franz Renoir, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Anna, age 14; Peter, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Der Jäger under the command of Skipper Gabriel Will.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 79.

The 1767 census records that Franz Renoir came from the village of Remich in Luxembourg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Renoir family among the Volga German colonies.

There are two Schröpfer families that arrived together from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Der Jäger under the command of Skipper Gabriel Will. Both settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. There relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.

(1) Johannes Schröpfer, a farmer, his wife Dorothea, son Johann (age 13), and sister Susanna (age 25) arrived in Oranienbaum.

Joseph Geisterscheid, clothweaver (Tuchweber), and his wife, Magdalena, settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 69.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Geisterscheid came from the village of Arlon in Luxembourg.

Peter Kranz, a farmer, and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Der Jäger under the command of Skipper Gabriel Will.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 57.

In 1788, Peter Krantz and his wife moved from Preuss to Keller.

Peter Krantz from Preuss and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Neu-Kolonie in Household No. Nk23.

Peter Seibert, a farmer, his wife Barbara, and daughter Gertruda (age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Der Jäger under the command of Skipper Gabriel Will.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 56.

The 1767 census records that Peter Seibert came from the village of Arlon in Luxembourg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Seibert family among the Volga German colonies.

The 1767 census records that Peter Manus came from the village of Remich in Luxembourg.

Bernhardus Seher, a farmer, and his wife, Anna, settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 63.

In 1790, Heinrich Seher moved from Preuss to Saratov.

Widow Katharina Seher, her daughter, and her daughter's family are recorded on the 1834 census of Preuss in Household No. 47.

The 1767 census records that Bernhardus Seher came from the village of Remich in Luxembourg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Seher family among the Volga German colonies.

Balthasar Niesser, a farmer, his wife, Anna, sons (Johann, age 3; Michael, age 1), and [step-]son Heinrich [Milchen] (age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Der Jäger under the command of Skipper Gabriel Will.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 62 along with stepson Heinrich Milchen (age 10).

In 1792, Theodorus Neuser moved from Seelmann to Leitsinger.

Two Hess families arrived together from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Der Jäger under the command of Skipper Gabriel Will. Both settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767. Their relationship to each other needs further research, but they are presumed to be brothers.
