There are two Asmus families from Wallernhausen that settled in the Volga German colonies. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.

(1) Conrad Asmus, son of Heinrich Aßmuß & Barbara Elisabetha Jung (who had been married 28 November 1709 in Wallerhausen), married in Wallernhausen on 30 November 1739 to Anna Maria Stang, daughter of Conrad Stang & Elisabetha Nohl (who had been married on 4 July 1710 in Wallernhausen).

There are two Schneidmüller families that settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana on 16 September 1767. The first has been located in the German village of Sellnrod. The second is recorded as being from the neighboring village of Bobenhausen [not to be confused with the Bobenhausen that is near Büdingen].

(1) Johannes Schneidmüller, son of Martin Schneidmüller & Anna Margartha Hessler, was born 1 May 1724 in Sellnrod and baptized there on 4 May 1724. He married in Sellnrod on 13 May 1751 to Anna Margaretha Stürtz from Wohnfeld.

Johann Mathias Machleit and his wife Dorothea arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Der Engel Rafael under the command of Skipper Ehlert Kongsted.

Mathaeus Machaley [sic] and his wife Rosina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Conrad Lackmann & Anna Elisabeth Schneck were married on 14 July 1766 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.

Konrad Lackmann, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Grapp.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel. They are recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Dt62.

In 1789, Heinrich Lackmann moved from Dietel to Walter.

Melchior Detterer [sic], a farmer, his wife Anna, children (Johann, age 15; Anna, age 10; Johannes, age 6), son Friedrich, and daughter-in-law Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Svyataya Ekaterina (St. Catherine) under the command of Midshipman Alexander Trusov.

Friedrich Lederer [sic], a farmer, his wife Maria Magdalena, daughter Maria Christina (age 1), and brother Jakob (age 15) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dietel in Household No. 18. They had arrived in Dietel on 1 July 1767.

Johann Adam Kling and his wife Anna Katharina Hoffmeister immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1760. Their son, Johann Adam, was born there on 11 November 1760 (another source records 29 January 1761 as his birth date).

In 1764, they joined the migration to Russia.

Adam Kling, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and son Johann (age 1¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 May 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Röder.

Samuel Klinck, his [unnamed] wife, and 2 [unnamed] children immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Flensburg on 26 June 1762.

On 6 September 1763, they are recorded on the farmstead "Kleisten Hof" in the Danish colony of Königsbach.

The parish register of Hohn [Denmark] records on 4 July 1763 the baptism of Johann Jacob Klund [sic], son of Samuel & Anna Maria Klund [sic].

They requested permission to leave the Danish colonies on 1 May 1765 and joined the migration to Russia.

Johann[es] Kaiser, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Johannetta, age 9; Katharina, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.

Johannes Keiser [sic], his wife Anna Julianna, and daughter Eva Netta [sic] (age 9) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that father Johannes died en route.
